Compass cannot start charging readers or delivering books until these required business systems are in place.
Publisher onboarding
Secure registration, author identity and rights verification, signed non-exclusive distribution licences, approved formats and territories, and takedown procedures.
Compass reader checkout
Reader-facing catalogue, verified Stripe checkout, payment webhooks, buyer receipts, refunds, secure eBook delivery and appropriate print fulfilment.
Royalties & reporting
Agreed platform commissions, sales ledger, VAT treatment, Stripe Connect onboarding and payouts, author statements, reserves, refunds and reconciliation.
External retailers
Retailer or aggregator contracts, ISBN and metadata workflows, validated EPUB/print files, partner statuses, duplicate-route prevention and partner sales reporting.
No author accounts, retailer integrations, Stripe Connect payouts or public Compass bookstore have been activated by this preparation page. Rights must be verified and agreements reviewed before a title becomes available for sale.
